Sometimes it seems incredible how much enthusiasm a half-size instrument can inspire: it plays extremely finely and pleasantly. The sound has a certain “maturity” that encourages you to experiment a lot with the instrument. The cello is easy to play and requires little effort. Both the low and high registers produce an extremely balanced sound across all positions. Its tone can be described as “singing.”
When you consider the choice of wood – fine, evenly flamed maple – keep the sound in mind, and take a closer look, the high quality of the workmanship quickly becomes apparent, as is to be expected from the master workshops of Mirecourt violin makers.
It can stand out as a solo instrument if played appropriately and the student has the necessary knowledge. If not, it is easy to learn on this instrument.
