3/4 Mirecourt Violin Atelier Lamy

This 3/4 violin is particularly special for the fact that both top and back are one piece each. The top shows a progression from rather broad to very narrow, even growth rings. The back impresses with an interesting alternation of straight flame and wild growth. The reddish-brown varnish allows the structure of the wood to stand out exceptionally well. The sound is balanced, simple and relatively soft. The nature of the marks of wear suggests that the violin was played regularly on a permanent basis, pointing to appropriately motivated students. Finostri is pleased to be able to offer this instrument to hopefully find more motivated students, who will continue to play this violin regularly.
