French violin, ca. 80 years old

This instrument is especially captivating for its warm, mellow sound and character. Much played and well preserved, it carries a gentle and benevolent soul that promises versatility and moderation in equal measure.
The top, with its easily discernible, evenly spaced growth rings, corresponds with the moderately flamed maple of the back and sides. Built according to the Stradivari model, it exhibits a clean execution of craftsmanship. The warmth is also visually reflected in the distinctly colored center bout. Its strong arching is partly responsible for the full, rounded tone it offers.
