Markneukirchen Violin ca. 1930

This violin from Markneukirchen dating to around 1935, made after the Amati model, is very cleanly crafted and responds directly and precisely. It has an opulent dynamic range with a full, balanced tone. It is very assertive and always maintains its round, mellow sound. It is fun to play on and with it. It flatters the eye with an even, golden-brown finish that lets the uniform spruce top and tastefully chosen, heavily flamed maple shine.
