About this unique piece:

The violin model “Nicolas Bertholini” was produced in the Mirecourt manufactory based on the model of Didier Nicolas since the end of the 19th century. This work from around 1910 shows all the characteristics of Vosgesian violin making from that period and is impeccably crafted. The blackened bevels on the scroll and ribs are typical.

The choice of wood – uniform spruce top and very well flamed maple – speaks for the high quality standards that prevailed in the workshops. Thus, it is not surprising that the instrument accommodates a singing and powerful tone. Additionally, the sound is very well balanced and full.

This extensive versatility in sound and tone makes it easy to develop a joy for playing. Attentive students will know how to refine their skills considerably on this violin.
